TED'S TOYS AND MODELS

My second building is a Victoria Street corner pub/shop I won in a competition (thanks to Miniature Scenes of York), it is a very long way from being finished but will eventually be a toy shop, "Ted's Toys and Models", Ted being my Father's name. I spent many hours making and applying brick slips which I cut out of card then textured and painted so that they were quite thick and had painted edges which make a big difference and cannot be obtained by the much easier and quicker method of painting first then cutting out. The quoin stones are cut from thin balsa.

Roof slates on both buildings are made with painted card which gives a realistic appearance without adding much weight. "The Happy Cat" stone floor was also made this way.
